A tough defensive fight sees the Ohio State Buckeyes trail the Indiana Hoosiers early in the third quarter, but the Hoosiers may need extra energy thanks to a big offensive injury.

In the first quarter with the Hoosiers driving, wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. suffered a knee and ankle issue on an incomplete pass from quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
According to Fox Sports reporter Jenny Taft, Cooper’s return status is uncertain, officially listing him as questionable.
“It’s a lower body injury, Gus,” Taft said. “They’ve been examining his right leg, his right side, his knee, his ankle.”
Cooper Jr. still remains out of the game, as social media is impressed with the way the Hoosiers stepped up to take a lead midway through the third quarter, 13-10.

“Indiana finally completes a series. Fernando Mendoza and his receivers take a big step forward, especially with Omar Cooper Jr. still out,” ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg wrote. “Hoosiers lead 13-10, and Ohio State has its first deficit of the second half of the season.”
The go-ahead touchdown came courtesy of receiver Elijah Sarratt as the Buckeyes attempted to play from behind for the first time.
Ohio State is in the middle of a productive offensive series, getting closer to regaining the lead.
