The New York Yankees still have hope for outfielder Jasson Dominguez even though the former top prospect began the season in the minor leagues, but his last chance to prove himself in pinstripes was put on hold Thursday.

Dominguez left the Yankees’ game against the Texas Rangers in a cart after a hard collision with the outfield wall after making an impressive catch.
The 23-year-old did not make the Yankees’ roster after spring training, but Randal Grichuk’s struggles and a stint on the disabled list for Giancarlo Stanton helped clear the way for some at-bats for the young outfielder.
Here’s the latest on Dominguez’s status after he was pulled.

Update on Jasson DomÃnguez injury
Dominguez made an excellent catch against the wall on a deep throw from Brandon Nimmo, but his upper body hit the wall hard, leaving him in pain on the warning track for an extended period after falling with the ball.

The force of the collision was enough to knock off Dominguez’s hat and sunglasses.
The Yankees brought a stroller for Dominguez, but he was able to walk to it under his own power and sit upright when he was carried off the field.
Dominguez’s departure forced the Yankees to reshuffle their lineup, with Cody Bellinger and Amed Rosario moving and Ryan McMahon entering the game at third base.
