Ole Miss’s Field Marshal, Jaxson Dart, was waiting patiently on Thursday night April 24. He knew he was not going to be selected first in general in the NFL Draft of 2025, but did not believe that he had fallen from Top 10.
This is because the 22 -year -old celebrated several positive meetings prior to the Draft with the Saints of New Orleans, who were positioned to select the ninth in general.
“I met them several times. The coach of (the chief coach of the Saints, Kellen), Moore, was great (the offensive coordinator of the Saints, Doug Nussmeier), coach Nuss was also great. I definitely had a good relationship with them throughout the process,” Dart told journalists on Wednesday.
Instead of Dart, the Saints were with the offensive liner Kelvin Banks out of Texas. He spent several more hours before Dart finally left the board.
The New York giants returned to the first round and were euphoric for Land Dart with Pick No. 25 in general. Now, in his second beginning of the NFL, the rookie will face those same saints and certainly has some chip on the shoulder.
“I think there is always a chip on your shoulder at any time something like that happens. But, I’m going to come out and play as hard as I can,” he said. “I felt that my visit with them was going well. So, you have thoughts in your head during the draft of what options are really realistic, and I definitely felt that this was a place that could have come out. But things did not work that way.”

“I love here. I love here. There is no place that prefers to be,” Dart said. “I love how passionate are people out of the facilities, within the facilities. I like the attitude that East’s Russian mountains have and it’s a lot of fun. I loved it.”
On Sunday, Dart will have the opportunity to demand a measure of revenge against the Saints, potentially keeping them without victories while collecting his second victory in his career and extends the winning streak of the giants to two.
