The legend of Chelsea, Joe Cole, said that Benfica players were “petrified” by midfielder Moises Caicedo on Tuesday night.

The blues won again with a hard 1-0 victory against the Portuguese giants, since they obtained their first points on the board in the champions League this season.

Chelsea was far from the best possible, but after having won only one of his last five games, everything that mattered was to get the victory.

After Saturday’s defeat against Brighton, Enzo Maresca made a series of changes with the tastes of Tyrique George and Facundo Buonanotte delivered.

Maresca did not turn his center of the countryside, which meant once again, Enzo Fernández and Caicedo combined in the machine room.

Caicelo again performed another first class performance, and Cole said after the game that Benfica players were “petrified” of him.

“I thought it was outstanding,” he told TNT Sports.

“Every time we observe it, we are impressed by him. He was only pickipsocketing. Mr. Mr Calm.

“They couldn’t move. I was removing them, I was finding passes, it was brilliant.

“I was reaching the point where Benfica midfielders were receiving the ball and were petrified. It was everywhere.”

Chelsea loses another midfielder due to injuries

While both Caicedo and Fernández impressed against Benfica, there were more bad news for Chelsea in the front of the injury.

Maresca confirmed after the game that Andrey Santos will not return until after the international break, and joins Dario EsSUGO on the sidelines.

Romeo Lavia is again fit and arrived as a late substitute against Brighton, but despite being appointed at the bank, he did not present against Benfica.

Blues have a real depth in the midfield, but that is currently being tested and, if something was going to happen to Fernández or Caicedo, they would be in real problems.
