Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game results, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here’s the latest ranking of Kentucky’s top 25 high school football teams, according to Massey as of Nov. 18.
1. Trinity Clovers
He Trinity Shamrocks (10-2) have been simply dominant through Kentucky’s first two rounds of the KHSAA Class 6A playoffs, defeating Simon Kenton last week, 50-0.
The Shamrocks will be aiming for a rare treble in 2025, having opened the post-season with some dominant performances, including a 56-0 win over Great Crossing and shutting out Simon Kenton. Now Trinity will turn its attention to Madison Central in the state quarterfinals.

They will need players at quarterback Zane Johnsonrunning backwards Jamaurion Berry and wide receiver Sekou Kamara to fuel what is one of Kentucky’s most potent offenses. If Trinity can pull off a win this week against St. Xavier (Ohio), there’s a good chance they can win the rest of the way.
2. Louisville Centurions Christian Academy
Christian Academy of Louisville (11-0) has arguably been the best team in the state with the way it has been playing lately. A 48-3 rout of De Sales last week in the Class 3A playoffs added further support to that narrative when they face Union County in the state quarterfinals this week.
The Centurions began the season by winning three straight victories, including victories over Lexington Christian Academy and Owensboro, respectively. They also added impressive wins with a 34-27 decision over Ryle and a 55-6 rout of Central Hardin.

Christian Academy of Louisville has been one of the most dominant teams in the state, boasting a loaded roster, led by four-star sophomore defensive lineman Kellan Hall. The Centurions also have talents like senior defensive back Stone Perkins (Ball State commit) and linebacker Chapman Russell on defense.
3. San Javier Tigers
Saint Xavier (8-3) have now won six straight games after continuing into the Class 6A playoffs with a 50-20 win over Bullitt East last week.
Right after the 2025 season began, St. Xavier began with a 38-7 victory over Owensboro. The Tigers have since had a bye week before posting dominant wins over Bowling Green and Louisville Male, respectively. Despite three losses on their record, the Tigers made a jump in this latest set of Kentucky high school football rankings.

The Tigers continue the KHSAA 6A playoffs heading into the state quarterfinals against historic Louisville Male, one of the winningest high school football programs in the country.
4. South Warren Spartans
south warren (11-0) has seemed unstoppable at times and in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs, they came up short in a 51-23 win over Hopkinsville. The Spartans look to reach the state semifinals when they face Henderson County (6-6) this week.
When it comes to playmakers on the offensive end making things happen for the Spartans, quarterback Camden Page and running back kayden york They have been the two main contributors so far. Page has thrown for 1,909 yards and 20 touchdowns and York has totaled 717 yards and 17 scores on the ground. junior defensive back Bridges of Isaiah has led a strong South Warren defense with five interceptions.

5. Boyle County Rebels
He Boyle County The Rebels (11-1) have had a pair of blowout wins to start Class 4A payoffs, outscoring their opponents by a combined 94-6 in two games.
Boyle County aims to make it nine straight wins when they face No. 7-ranked Covington Catholic in this week’s state quarterfinals.
Regaining the Class 4A state title will be Boyle CountyThe main objective of this year. Rebels tight end duo Seneca Driver and Maddox Hager is crucial if Boyle County wants to try to win another state championship.
