He Trinity Shamrocks remain Kentucky’s No. 1 team after a bye week. Right behind the Shamrocks are Boyle County, Christian Academy of Louisville, St. Xavier, South Warren and they come in a 2-3-4-5.
Who else makes the cut in this week’s latest Kentucky high school football rankings?
Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game results, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here’s the latest ranking of Kentucky’s top 25 high school football teams, according to Massey as of Nov. 4.
1. Trinity Clovers
He Trinity Shamrocks (8-2) closed its regular season with a 52-3 rout of Oldham County the last time they were on the field. Now the Shamrocks await the bracket for Kentucky’s KHSAA Class 6A playoffs.
The Shamrocks will be aiming for the treble in 2025, and opened the season with some dominant performances, including a 63-0 thrashing of Pleasure Ridge Park and a 37-0 beating of Frederick Douglass.
They will need players at quarterback Zane Johnsonrunning backwards Jamaurion Berry and wide receiver Sekou Kamara to fuel what is one of Kentucky’s most potent offenses. If Trinity can pull off a win this week against St. Xavier (Ohio), there’s a good chance they can win the rest of the way.
2. Louisville Centurions Christian Academy
Christian Academy of Louisville (10-0) has made it look too easy in recent weeks, beating its last four opponents De Sales, Central, Fern Creek Traditional and Western High School Early College by a combined score of 214-21.
The Centurions began the season by winning three straight victories, including wins over Lexington Christian Academy and Owensboro, respectively. They also added impressive wins with a 34-27 decision over Ryle and a 55-6 rout of Central Hardin.
Christian Academy of Louisville has been one of the most dominant teams in the state, boasting a loaded roster, led by four-star sophomore defensive lineman Kellan Hall. The Centurions also have talents like senior defensive back Stone Perkins (Ball State commit) and linebacker Chapman Russell on defense.
The Centurions face Mercer County Senior this week.
3. San Javier Tigers
Saint Xavier (7-3) have won four straight games after a 42-6 rout of Madison Central last week.
Right out of the gate in the 2025 season, St. Xavier began with a 38-7 victory over Owensboro. The Tigers have since had a bye week before posting dominant wins over Bowling Green and Louisville Male, respectively. Despite three losses on their record, the Tigers made a jump in this latest set of Kentucky high school football rankings.
The Tigers open the KHSAA playoffs against Southern.
4. Boyle County Rebels
He Boyle County The Rebels (9-1) just survived a 20-13 win over Frederick Douglass last week as they head to the playoffs.
Boyle County aims to make it seven straight wins when it takes on the Wayne County team this week and continues with the finals against Frederick Douglass. The Rebels have been able to win four decisive games when decided by 11 points or less this season.
Regaining the Class 4A state title will be Boyle CountyThe main objective of this year. Rebels tight end duo Seneca Driver and Maddox Hager is crucial if Boyle County wants to try to win another state championship.
5. South Warren Spartans
south warren (10-0) defeated Logan County last week with a 49-14 victory.
When it comes to playmakers on the offensive end making things happen for the Spartans, quarterback Camden Page and running back Kayden York have been the two biggest contributors so far. Page has thrown for 1,686 yards and 19 touchdowns and York has totaled 646 and 15 scores on the ground.
The Spartans continue their undefeated streak as they take on Christian County this Friday night.
