Lando Norris has confirmed that “he would love” emulate Max Verstappen in the dispute of other racing series once he has finished with formula 1.
Fifteen days ago, Verstappen ran a Porsche GT4 at the Nordschleife in the Nurburgring Endurance series to obtain a license that allows you to run GT3 in the ‘Green Hell’.
On Saturday, the four -time F1 champion will make his debut in the GT3 race at the Nordschleife aboard a Ferrari 296, since Verstappen has long talked about his passion for resistance to the permark of motor racing.
His Nurburgring adventure was put to the F1 pilots before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last weekend, and Norris revealed that the sports resistance competition is something that interests him.
The McLaren pilot can even have an easy route, since the Woking company will enter the 2027 World Resistance Championship with a general victory shot in the 24 hours of Le Mans.
“I would love,” said Norris, who already questioned 24 hours of Daytona, doing it with Fernando Alonso and Phil Hanson in 2018 a year before joining F1.

“I saw Zak (Brown, CEO of McLaren) talked about that the other day also with Le Mans, with McLaren going to Le Mans. I would love.
“I will not be in Formula 1 forever. I want to go to do other things and live my life, try other things, you know.
“I will enjoy my time in Formula 1. either a mixture at some point to make some of the other races, I am not sure. Or it could be when I retire from F1 that I try to do other things.
“I loved doing Daytona. I did it with Fernando, so it was a great experience for me at that time. But either Le Mans, Daytona or Sebring, whatever.
Norris added that it would have to be the right time to run other championships, since he is in a battle with the teammate Oscar Piasstri for the title of 2025 F1, so that the entire approach is in that.
McLaren is also expected to continue fighting for future championships, if everyone is planned, while Verstappen has not been in the battle for this year’s title despite winning the last four.

“I respect Max for going and doing such a thing, he is in a much easier position to go and do those things,” Norris added.
“If you are fighting for a championship and that kind of thing, it would probably not look better. But it is in a position in which you also won four world championships. Then, it is a little easier than perhaps what we do and Oscar in the minute.
“But certainly in my future, I will do it. Because I think I have the same desire and I want Max to go to do other things and simply do what I enjoy.”
