The pitching of the Yankees (4-1) has dominated so far this season. The starters have allowed just one run in the first five games, and the team as a whole has allowed just two runs this season.

-The Yankees scored a run off the Mariners pitching on Monday, they would double that in the first inning against Logan Gilberto. After Gilbert got rid of Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger He worked the count and finally got a single. ben rice then he hit a double just down the right field line off the overhanging wall. Bellinger scored from first with a double before Stanton’s single drove in Rice for the first two runs of the game.
Gilbert would quiet the Yankees’ bats after the first, but they would break through again in the sixth. After Grisham’s double, Bellinger singled with one out to put runners on the corners. Bellinger stole second place, but Cal Raleigh — who got Bellinger to steal early in the game — threw the ball into the outfield, allowing Grisham to score and Bellinger to reach third.

Judge went hitless (0-4) with two strikeouts. He had a little bad luck in the seventh when he hit a line drive (107 mph) back to the pitcher. the ball hit Cole Wilcox glove and right to second baseman young cabbage on a line for the out. It probably would have been a single if Wilcox hadn’t slowed him down.
Judge has now started the season 3 for 20 with two home runs and 10 strikeouts.
