At this point, Michigan football has lost its head coach, but there has essentially been no attrition, either of players or coaches, to this point. However, with the upcoming Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, that could very well change quickly.

Given the uncertainty in Ann Arbor, especially after Kalen DeBoer appeared to stay at Alabama and Kenny Dillingham returned to Arizona State, it stands to reason that the Wolverines’ current coaches may look for other opportunities. Among them appears to be offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, who is “a leading candidate” for Eliah Drinkwitz’s Missouri.

Lindsey was brought in this offseason to get the most out of Bryce Underwood, but she appears to have been hampered a bit by the head coach’s edicts. The former North Carolina offensive coordinator only showed a limited version of what his offense had been like in the past, although there are rumors that it will more closely reflect his vision with Moore now out of the way.

Drinkwitz, the Missouri coach, may also be someone to watch closely for the Michigan football job. But, right now, everything is uncertain.
