Michigan State football is looking to rebuild its roster ahead of Pat Fitzgerald’s first season in East Lansing. The plan to rebuild that squad comes through the transfer portal. Before the weekend, it was announced that the Spartans would host a power conference defensive line transfer.

Florida State transfer Edge Jaden Jones will be in East Lansing for a visit this weekend. This comes after visits to Missouri and North Carolina State.

Jones, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end, has been in Tallahassee since 2023. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, he began his career at Hutchinson Community College. At FSU, he played in 17 games, recording nine tackles and one tackle for loss.

This season, PFF graded him as a 65.6 overall defender while a 72.3 rushing defender. He’s someone who fits the mold as an early stuffer.
