Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said Wednesday morning in San Francisco that the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday practice schedule has been the same in San Francisco as if they were in New England preparing for a home game.

“We try to make it as normal as possible, knowing it won’t be like that,” Vrabel said. “We try to keep the same routine, we try to keep the same meeting times, the treatment times. The guys were able to work on Monday. We had yesterday off, there was a lot of activity in the hotel, the meeting rooms, the guys meeting and watching tape. That’s what everyone has to do to prepare. The next 48 hours are going to be critical for us as we try to get into our normal routines for a Wednesday and a Thursday and then the families come here and things escalate.”
The Super Bowl is not a normal week for anyone, but a team that is able to prepare as it normally would will have an advantage on Super Bowl Sunday.
