Here are the five most important things to see on Tuesday at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games:
The Blade Angels begin their quest for gold (1 p.m. ET)
No American woman has won an individual medal in figure skating since 2006. That is expected to change in Milan, where the United States has a team consisting of Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito. Their competition begins on Tuesday with the short program and will conclude on Thursday with the free skate.
Is it Mac Forehand’s time on the air? (2:15 Eastern Time)
The American freestyle skier qualified first overall. After a disappointing result in Slopestyle, where he finished 11th, he will look for some redemption on Tuesday in what is actually his weakest event. Two other Americans were among the 12 who qualified for the finals: Konnor Ralph and Troy Podmilsak.

Can the United States break Germany’s control over the sled?
With two runs in the two-man sled, Germany is 1-2-3. Right behind them, however, is the American duo of Frankie del Duca and Joshua Williamson. They are just a tenth of a second behind the third-place German team. You may recognize Del Duca, who was one of the American standard bearers at the opening ceremony.
Will Team USA sweep the team pursuit in speed skating? (10:22 am)
American men are the favorites; The women will have to overcome the Canadian favorites. In the team pursuit, three skaters, running in a straight line to reduce drag, complete eight laps for the men and six laps for the women. The fastest time wins. If you’re wondering, Jordan Stolz isn’t on Team USA, which means he won’t be trying to add to his gold medal collection today.
