A volatile press conference led to an even more heated showdown between Misfits champion Carla Jade and former UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez on Thursday.
Ahead of their boxing match on Saturday, the fighters traded verbal bombs on stage with Jade taking aim at Gonzalez’s career after she competed in the UFC, BKFC and now boxing.

“Failed UFC career. Failed bare-knuckle career,” Jade said. “Come here with the influencers because she is out of work.”
In response, González responded by saying “failed career but you have four children and no dad.”
That prompted a series of insults from Jade as she attacked as the incident continued to escalate. To no one’s surprise, facing the fighters a few moments later didn’t go very well.
While they didn’t get too close, that didn’t stop the Misfits champion from slapping Gonzalez in the face when security quickly pulled her away before a fight broke out on stage.

“What are you going to do about it?” Jade shouted from across the stage.
The fight serves as a title fight on the Misfits Boxing card taking place on Saturday with the women’s middleweight title on the line. Most recently, Jade earned a split decision victory over former BKFC title challenger Taylor Starling, while Gonzalez made his Misfits debut with a win over another veteran in Tai Emery.
