CBS Sports released its All-American teams this week, and Fears got the nod. He was selected to his third team, with Purdue’s Braden Smith landing just ahead of him on the second team.

“Fears finished the season with the most assists per game (9.4) in college basketball,” Cameron Salerno wrote. “He doubled his scoring (15.2 points) from last season and improved in all areas. Fears’ breakout season helped Michigan State reach the Sweet 16.”
Fears has been named to several All-American teams in recent weeks, most recently landing on the Wooden All-America team this week. Fears has at least one more year of eligibility remaining, and many Spartans expect him to return for next season and turn Michigan State into a preseason national championship contender.
