JP Crawford opened the ninth inning with a drive to the right field corner, where Adell jumped to catch the ball, jumped over the wall and landed in the first row of seats before raising his glove to make the catch, which was confirmed after a replay review.
Adell jumped well over the yellow line on the wall to deny Cal Raleigh a solo home run in the first and made a nearly identical catch to deny Josh Naylor a solo home run in the eighth.
Jordan Romano, the Angels’ sixth pitcher, then retired Cole Young on an infield fly and struck out Leo Rivas for his third save.
Silseth replaced Joey Lucchesi with two on base in the seventh and hit Rivas looking, Luke Raley swung and got Raleigh to ground out to second.

Kochanowicz also escaped a jam at first and third, with two outs in the first by striking out Randy Arozarena facing an 88 mph slider and a two-on, two-out jam in the third by getting Arozarena to ground out.
The Angels backed up Kochanowicz with two more super plays, left fielder Josh Lowe diving to catch Dominic Canzone’s shot in the fourth and second baseman Ozwald Peraza diving to stop Raley’s fifth-inning grounder up the middle and throwing to first.
Hancock (1-1) allowed six hits in 6 2/3 innings and struck out five after pitching six hitless innings in his March 29 game against Cleveland.
