The Cleveland Browns secondary secured the team’s first interception of the day with a pick-six from new cornerback Tyson Campbell.
Less than two weeks after being acquired in a trade with the Jaguars, Campbell recorded his first turnover, interception and pick-six as a Cleveland Brown, all in a single play when he intercepted Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The pass, intended for running back De’Von Achane, was deflected and then intercepted by Campbell, who had nothing but green grass in front of him on his way to the end zone. It was a great first interception for Campbell in a Browns uniform and hopefully the first of many.
The Browns are rolling into the Miami Dolphins with a big lead in Week 7. The team has been consistent on both sides of the ball, with several key plays like this Campbell interception. Hopefully, the Browns can continue their reputation as one of the best defenses in the NFL with another forced turnover today.
