New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch issued a statement Friday night addressing the appearance of his name in the latest release of Jeffrey Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The documents, which include more than three million pages released Friday, contain emails from 2013 showing correspondence between Tisch and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In his statement, Tisch described their interaction as limited.

“We had a brief association in which we exchanged emails about adult women and also talked about movies, philanthropy and investments. I did not accept any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret having associated with,” the statement read.

The statement was provided through the Giants organization following reports of the new public emails.

Tisch’s name reportedly appears at least 440 times in the materials. No allegations of wrongdoing by Tisch are directly mentioned in the released documents related to Epstein’s criminal activities.
