NFL Draft: Top TE Kenyon Sadiq would love to play for Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have long earned a reputation as one of the league’s premier franchises. However, no team is perfect. From time to time, there have been some exchanges about how well they have done in developing talent.

That may be a little unfair. Each team has its successes and mistakes. However, one thing we can usually rely on when it comes to Philadelphia’s roster is the talent they have been able to find at the tight end position. The Birds have gone from Chad Lewis and LJ Smith to Brent Celek and Zach Ertz. Last season, Dallas Goedert set a franchise record for regular-season touchdowns scored at tight end.

Godert, Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson are all impending free agents this season. Goedert has already been described as someone the Birds want to keep.

However, he’ll need help and it appears leadership is doing everything it can to find it by interviewing some of the top talent at the position at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. That brings us to the perceived top TE prospect in the 2026 draft class, Kenyon Sadiq.

Kenyon Sadiq congratulates the Eagles at the NFL Combine.

Sadiq’s final season at the NCAA level was certainly unforgettable. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and was named Big Ten Tight End of the Year.

He caught 51 passes in 2025, leading to 560 yards and eight touchdowns. At the NFL Combine on Thursday, he said he had not yet spoken to the Eagles, but expressed his admiration and said Philadelphia would be a team he would like to play for.
