The Philadelphia Flyers look to bounce back
Philadelphia Flyers coach Rick Tocchet says his team must adapt quickly after losing the first game of their second-round playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Flyers skated Sunday and Tocchet said his team has to react quicker to the Hurricanes’ aggression and speed. He also says this team “has to figure it out quickly” because more performances like Game 1 won’t change the series against the Eastern Conference’s top seed.
“You can’t have three or four games like that,” Tocchet said before the team’s practice. “You have to figure it out quickly. Tomorrow night we want 21 guys to want the puck. That’s the mentality.”

Tippett, who scored 28 goals in the regular season and brings needed speed to the lineup, skated Sunday. But he spent part of that session working with goalie Aleksei Kolosov on one end of the ice while the rest of the team worked on the other end.
