President Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan didn’t get the seal of approval from two prominent MAGA voices, and according to MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, the president will likely retaliate, adding that “it’s going to get worse.”

On Monday, Wallace detailed that ICE’s aggressive entry into American cities across the country has proven unpopular even among Trump’s own base of supporters, pointing to prominent podcaster Joe Rogan’s take on the raids.

“The way he looks is horrible,” Rogan said on Thursday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“When you arrest people in front of their children and ordinary people, who have been here for 20 years, anyone with a heart can’t accept that,” he continued. “That can’t be the only way to do this.”

The comedian and podcaster agreed with the president’s calls that border control is an issue that must be addressed but did not understand the need to detain people who have been in the country for 20 years without a criminal record. He added that only “terrorists” or cartel members should be the “worst of the worst” targeted by ICE.

“Come on, that’s crazy,” he said. “Have the heart of a king. Because if you don’t, you won’t have anyone on your side.”

“Deadline: White House” host Wallace joked that she “never thought I’d say this,” but also agreed with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s take on Tim Dillon’s podcast on the topic.

“As a conservative and as a businessman in the construction industry and as a realist, we have to do something about the work, and that has to be a smarter plan than just arresting every person and just deporting them,” the Republican representative said. “I’m just living in reality from now on.”

“There are a lot of things I don’t like about Marjorie Taylor Greene and Joe Rogan, but if we could have done this on our own, we wouldn’t be here,” Wallace responded.

This was a change of heart for Greene, one that contradicts her previous stance on Trump’s deportation policy.

Wallace spoke with MSNBC senior political and national correspondent Jacob Soboroff, who reported that of more than a thousand people arrested in Chicago, ICE provided detailed information on only 10 men with criminal records, about 1%.

“We must keep in mind that the administration is about to turn up the volume even more,” he said. “Now they are escalating what led those two to their conversions in their views on Trump and this policy. It’s going to get worse.”

Soboroff said the cruelty and brute force of ICE in detaining people is “the point.” ICE leaders encourage videos circulating on social media and members create their own videos.

“They are waking up to the fact that mass deportations are family separations by another name,” Soboroff said. “Now this is being seen on the streets all over the country… They want these images to come to light.”

The correspondent added that 70% of the people detained by ICE at this time have no criminal record. Watch the full exchange in the video below:
