If Rodri wants to leave Manchester City, the club will not stand in his way.

It has been City’s way, if a player wants to leave he must come to the club with a suitable offer.
The biggest hope for Manchester City is that Rodri remains at the club for next season and beyond. Rodri’s contract expires at the end of the 2026/27 season, and the dream is for him to sign a contract extension with the club.

However, what Manchester City will not do is force a player who wants to leave the club to stay. That has been his modus operandi with Pep Guardiola as coach. City do not want dissatisfied players at the club, as this affects the team’s morale and influences the atmosphere that Pep Guardiola wants to create. That said, the only player City have not sold with a noticeable interest in leaving the club over the years is Bernardo Silva. He is the exception to the rule, but his professionalism is such that Bernardo Silva continued despite his desire to leave.
If Rodri wants to leave Manchester City this summer, they will not stand in his way.
