UK-based accounting practice Phipps Henson McAllister (PHM) has appointed Andy Greenhalgh as its new head of audit.
The company said the appointment supports the expansion of its client offering and reflects increased demand for assurance services.
Greenhalgh, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, has over 20 years of auditing and advisory experience across a range of accounting practices.
His work included leading audits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and owner-managed businesses, as well as providing advice to law firms.
PHM said this experience aligns with its core customer base.
In his new role, Greenhalgh will lead PHM’s audit department. Your focus will include strengthening service delivery and providing information designed to support client decision-making.
Greenhalgh said: “I am delighted to lead PHM’s audit team. My aim is to build on the strong foundations already in place, grow the audit department and deliver even greater value and insight to our clients, helping them make business decisions with confidence.”
Ross Phipps, Managing Partner at PHM, added: “Andy’s extensive experience and hands-on approach make him the ideal choice to lead our audit team. He asks the right questions, gets to the heart of problems and always offers effective solutions.
“I am confident that under his leadership, our audit department will continue to grow and contribute to the overall success of the company.”
PHM was established in 1993 and operates from a single office in Northamptonshire. It provides audit, tax and advisory services to SMEs, businesses and professional practices across the UK.
