He finished runner-up in his 2025 campaign behind champion Ilya Mikhalchik of Ukraine and took a double victory in the Brands Hatch championship round at the end of July.
“I came home after breaking my leg and said, ‘I don’t know if I can do this anymore,'” Allingham reflected on the aftermath of one of his accidents.
“It was really difficult. A lot of people didn’t realize that I was really depressed at that time. It was hard to get back to normal.
“(Quitting) was in the cards many times. My body is too sore and I just can’t handle another accident.”

The Eglinton driver added that his “concentration now is on winning the championship” after being chosen to fly the German manufacturer’s flag next season.
“Really exciting moments and I think we deserved it after second place in the championship. It’s really good to close that deal.”
“The BMW 1000RR is a very good bike and suits my style. If we could get this year’s bike to finish second, imagine what we can do next year with BMW.
“My first win at Brands Hatch was very emotional, especially after having overcome all the injuries and difficult times. There was a lot of doubt and not believing in myself, but I felt like I had gotten the monkey off my back.”

The Allingham team provided a Superstock bike for North West 200 wins record holder Alastair Seeley at last year’s international road race and say a similar deal is already in the cards for 2026.
“Alastair finished third on a Superstock bike in the Superbike race (in the North West), which was absolutely incredible.
“We need to sit down and have a good chat with Alastair and see if we can put him on a Superbike. If he was third on the Stock bike, he could only do better on Superbike.”
“Everyone on the team enjoyed it. It was a great week and if we can get that deal done it would be fantastic.”
