A spokesman for the Commanders said the team was aware of the arrest and was gathering more information: “We have notified the NFL league office and have no further comment at this time.”
According to police, an officer stopped the car for expired license plates and other traffic violations. During the stop, they say Lattimore, 29, failed to tell the officer when asked about the presence of a firearm inside the vehicle. Lattimore was booked into jail briefly before being released without bail.
