Former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove has weighed in on Donald Trump’s obsession with deploying the National Guard across the country, and he doesn’t have an optimistic outlook. Rove, whom George W. Bush nicknamed “The Architect,” appeared in the Journal Editorial Report on Saturday. The Wall Street Journal columnist and Fox contributor said the president was playing with fire with his current strategy. In addition to predicting Trump’s decline in popularity, the multifaceted Republican Party also admitted that it was struggling to see evidence that certain cities were as “war-torn” as Trump describes.
