Jahmal Harvey vs. Kevin Cervantes
Round 1: Harvey came out early with the jab. He’s shooting early and often, mixing in headshots and body shots. Evil five-punch combo from Harvey, Cervantes is still biding his time. Cervantes almost ducks and throws an uppercut. They exchange and Harvey knocks Cervantes down with a right hand. It looks good, it seems to indicate that it was simply unbalanced, but that’s a fall. Cervantes with a wild right hand and Harvey counters with a short combo. Harvey’s check throws Cervantes off balance again.

Round 2: Cervantes is aggressive but eats a hook as he enters. Harvey’s long left scores. Harvey presses with his jab and a big right hand as he backs up Cervantes. Harvey moves well and destroys Cervantes. Cervantes simply cannot dodge that blow. He works to attack Harvey’s body and lands a nice right hand to the ribs. Harvey keeps the jab pressure up. Cervantes enters with a right hand. Harvey punches the body. There is a jab from Cervantes. Strong right hand from Harvey to close the round.

Round 3: Cervantes isn’t shy, give him that, even when he gets close and gets chewed up. Harvey just struck the first blow. Cervantes keeps his distance now, so Harvey is happy to touch his abdomen. More body shots from Harvey as he opens up Cervantes. Harvey hits in bunches and there is a slip. Quick review of Cervantes and they are back. Harvey advances with two strong left hands. Harvey’s right cross.

Round 4: Harvey’s blow has Cervantes beside himself. Always surpassing Cervantes. One blow after anotherdirected by Paul Thomas Anderson. Harvey to the body, almost no response from Cervantes. This is a pad session for Harvey, my goodness. Uppercut connects for Harvey. Cervantes lands a couple of rights, showing signs of life. Harvey connects with a pair of uppercuts. Another slip from Cervantes. Harvey’s jab-jab-body combo. He’s punishing that midsection and could be setting up a finish in the next round.

Round 5: Harvey continues to hit Cervantes, who continues to advance. No doubt for Harvey as he chooses his shots at will. Harvey misses with a wild right hand and looks disappointed in himself. Skillful footwork from Harvey. Probing to the left of Harvey as he works from the left foot. Back to the orthodox. Cervantes lands a left hook to the body. Harvey’s quick combo. He’s not worried about trading with Cervantes, that’s for sure.

Round 6: Harvey dodges Cervantes and hits him with a right hand. They exchange body blows. Harvey picks up the pace once again, finishing a flurry with a right to Cervantes’ chin. More headshots from Harvey. He’s setting him up well with his jab, and Cervantes shows at least a decent chin. Punches and punches from Harvey with a minute left, he’s running away (like he has the entire fight). Clean, straight lands on the left for Harvey.
