Russia dismisses Zelenskiy’s ‘bombs’ threats to Kremlin officials

Moscow -the Kremlin dismissed on Sunday the threats of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that Kremlin officials should know where the bomb shelters were, saying that Ukraine was losing the war and that his negotiation position was getting worse.

Zelenskiy suggested to Axios that the centers of Russian power, such as Kremlin, were potential objectives, saying that Kremlin officials “have to know where the bomb shelters are.”

“Zelenskiy is trying to demonstrate to Europeans, who now act as the family’s support, who is such a brave soldier,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, at State Television.

“Meanwhile, the state of things in the front indicates otherwise. With every day that passes, the situation for Ukraine is inexorably deteriorating. And every day the negotiation positions of Ukraine deteriorate inexorably.”

Russia controls 114,918 square km (44,370 square miles), or around 19% of Ukraine, and has taken 4,729 square km of Ukrainian territory in the last year, according to the Deepstate Pro-Ukranian map project.

When the Kremlin correspondent of state television, Pavel Zarubin, how Kremlin would perceive an attack on the center of Russian power, Peskov said that “it is better not to talk about that.”

In May 2023, Russia accused Ukraine of trying to attack the Kremlin with drones. President Vladimir Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack.
