Yet another wide receiver will make the trip for a pre-draft visit with the New Orleans Saints. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. is one of 30 players who will formally visit the team’s decision makers at their headquarters in Metairie. And you won’t be alone. Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst will also tour the facility and sit down with the coaches during Saturday’s visit. Hurst’s visit was previously reported, but now we know when it will happen.

Cooper’s stock has risen steadily throughout the lead-up to the 2026 NFL Draft. After hauling in 28 catches for 594 yards (21.2 yards per catch) and seven touchdown catches in 2024, Cooper rounded out his game with 69 catches, 937 yards, and 13 touchdowns in 2025, paving the way for Indiana’s national championship run. He’s a complete package at 6 feet tall and 199 pounds, having clocked the 40-yard dash in just 4.42 seconds.

Cooper, once viewed as a potential second-round pick, has worked his way into the top 15 of some mock drafts. It would be a surprise to see the Saints select him at No. 8, but you never know. Maybe he’ll be a target for them in a possible trade.
