New York — Savannah Guthrie appeared off-camera Thursday at the studios of NBC’s “Today” show to thank her castmates for their support since her mother, Nancy, disappeared from her home in Arizona a month ago.
Guthrie, a longtime morning news show co-anchor, plans to return to the air at some point but “right now remains focused on supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home,” the Today show said.

The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of their mother, but reliable information in the case has been difficult to obtain.
Savannah Guthrie has co-hosted the popular morning show on NBC since 2012. One of her former colleagues, Hoda Kotb, returned to the “Today” show to take her place while Guthrie focused on finding her mother.
