The Savannah Police Department has made an arrest in a fatal shooting on Halloween, according to an SPD news release.
Edward King, 57, was arrested and charged with murder Saturday in connection with a shooting on Oct. 31 near West 34th Street and Ogeechee Road.
Officers responded to the shooting shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday as reported by ShotSpotter, according to the news release. At the scene, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to the chest.

The victim was administered first aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
