France has joined the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Portugal to recognize Palestinian status at the beginning of a high profile meeting in the United Nations. The effort aims to galvanize support for a solution of two states in an attempt to bring peace to the Middle East. Yezid Sayight, the main member of Malcolm H. Kerr Carnegie Middle East Center, told Bloomberg’s Horizons Middle East and the presenter of Africa, Joumanna Bercette, explained why the solution of two states only seems symbolic.
