The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of preparing for next season. That means looking to define the squad and bring in the right pieces for future depth moves and attract young talent.
On Tuesday, the Sixers announced they had signed former first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp. The 3-year forward was selected 24th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 draft and has career averages of 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists on 35.4% shooting from deep. He has also played for the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks.
Beauchamp is with the Sixers on an Exhibit 10 deal and will likely be a ticket to the G League once the preseason is over. In a corresponding move, the Sixers have released Emoni Bates.
You have to believe that Beauchamp will be given every opportunity to show what he can do for the Sixers. He has a lot of potential and ability and one has to imagine coach Nick Nurse would like to take advantage of it.
