The Las Vegas Raiders fired Chip Kelly as their offensive coordinator on Monday and replaced him with… someone who has been the Raiders’ offensive coordinator twice before.

Quarterbacks coach Greg Olson (not to be confused with former NFL tight end) will once again call offensive plays for the Raiders, a position he previously held twice. Olson was first the Raiders’ offensive coordinator for Dennis Allen and returned to the same job from 2018 to 2021 for Jon Gruden.

After returning to the Raiders for the third time as quarterbacks coach, Olson has somehow returned to the chair as offensive coordinator. Maybe the third time is the charm for Olson and the Raiders?

To be honest, we’re getting “Somehow Palpatine came back” vibes from this.
