Pro Football Focus analyst Mason Cameron believes the Steelers could be the ideal destination for Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker this offseason.

“That ability would be a good fit for the Steelers, particularly if Aaron Rodgers decides to return to the Steel City with Mike McCarthy named the new head coach,” Cameron wrote Thursday. “In 2025, Rodgers posted the fourth-fastest average time to throw (2.59) among quarterbacks with at least 200 dropbacks.
“While there is still time for former first-round pick Broderick Jones to develop at just 25 years old, his struggles at left and right tackle create the need for Pittsburgh to evaluate potential upgrades. The Steelers can afford to splurge on protection with their top free agent tackle, currently projected to have the ninth-most cap space ($44.94 million) this offseason. The addition of Walker would provide an immediate starter ready to play left tackle.”
Walker has played for the Packers for the past four seasons, appearing in all 17 games over the past three years. While there’s a good chance Green Bay will try to bring back Walker, if they don’t, the Steelers should certainly consider signing him.
