The exhibition, which opened in January, takes visitors behind the scenes of a museum. It invites you to see the inner workings of collection management, digitization, research, documentation, artistic preparation and photography.

And there is a lot of fantastic art to see.

The exhibition was developed by Randy Roberts, the museum’s deputy director and associate curator for collections digitization, Jez Flores-García, with the support of 37 UC Davis students in the Spring 2025 Exhibition Practice course.
