The boiling point surpassed Indalo by the best margins to win the Cambridgeshire in Newmarket.
Jockey Clifford Lee, coach Karl Burke and owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid joined forces to ensure a second consecutive victory in the disability of the heritage after winning it last year with Liberty Lane.
Lee moved the boiling point of 14-1 at the head of the field and then somehow managed to contain a late load of Indalo (20-1) to take the end of the photo by a nose.
Fort George arrived third in the field of 23 people, with 11-2, while Erzindjan (28-1) was fourth.
Both the boiling point and Liberty Lane before him won the gallop of more than one mile and a furious to their maximum weight.
“It was a great performance,” said winning coach Burke to ITV Sport.
“Cliff is so good from the front. You never worry about what progress in a horse. Always get your fractions, but then you need the horse under you and it was a great performance.
“I think I was in fresh air the last 100 yards and I really thought I had the chin on the line, but fantastic.”
Previously, in the two COE Group races in Newmarket, the favorite wise approach of 11-8 left the doors in the bets of the Middle Park, but recovered to beat Brussels (9-1) to second place, while the true love of 2-1 True Love won the Stakes of the Cheveley Park.
