The METS will not only address their launch problems this winter, but will also seek to add a star pitcher or AS in the low season.
There are some options of intriguing free agents, such as Ranger Suárez, Framber Valdez, Dylan Cease and some others. But if the Mets need to balance an exchange for an ACE level initiator, that is also an option for New York.
If the Miami Marlins finally decide to exchange Sandy Alcantara, the Mets could be willing to pay a tax in the division to obtain former Cy Young winner. In addition, if Paul Skenes were available, the Mets would be more than willing to spend a fortune in the favorite of 2025 Cy Young, even if it costs some of their young launch talents.

Brandon Sproat, Jonah Tong and Nolan McLean showed this season in their rookie years for New York. But trusting them and an unstable Kodai Senga is not a place where the Mets want to end once again next season.
The METS are expected to add an ace to their launchers staff this low season, since their current rotation was a great reason for the collapse of the second half of the team.
Targeting players like Manaea and Frankie Move in the Free Agency is not enough for Mets to confess it. They need to add an AS and will be aggressive in their search for such a player.
This is a Martino encouraging report, since the METS are willing to spend more on this team, even after all the investment that Steve Cohen and David Stearns have made in the club.
With Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor, and some other key pieces, this Mets team can easily be a maximum contender next season with a strong winter. To be considered a threat, they must add a first -line AS to their rotation, and Martino’s report indicates that Mets are more than willing to do exactly that.
