The photographer captures the private Trump text message, and it is quite bad

If you frequent a farmers market, you might wait a lot of soybeans in the predictable future.

A photo taken by the Associated Press’ Angelina Katsanis during the United Nations General Assembly last week shows a text message sent to Treasury Secretary Scott Besent of someone whose initials coincide with those of the Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins.

And if it was Rollins, she seemed quite marked.

The September 23 text refers to Besent’s plan, announced publicly the next day, for the United States to send to Argentina, whose right -wing president has supervised an agitating economy, which is essentially a rescue of $ 20 billion.

“Just a warning. I am getting more Intel, but this is very unfortunate,” the message began. “Yesterday, we rescued Argentina (Besent) and, in return, the Argentine eliminated its export tariffs on the grains, reducing its price, and sold a lot of soy to China, at a time when we would normally be selling to China. Together with this message, the text also included a link to the criticism of the Ben Scholl grain merchant to Besent’s intention to rescue Argentina.

“They think you’re stupid,” Scholl wrote.

The message then concludes with the issuer who writes: “On a plane, but Scott can call you when I land.”

Huffpost communicated with the Treasury and Rollins department to comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

“American farmers cannot wait and wait any longer,” said ASA president Caleb Ragland, in a statement. “ASA is asking President Trump and his negotiating team to prioritize an immediate agreement on soybeans with China. The agricultural economy is suffering while our competitors impersonate the United States in the world’s largest soy import market.”
