Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García has been chatting about Lamine Yamal’s current pubalgia problems and admits that it is a really difficult injury to deal with.
Yamal has been fighting for some time and has just received treatment that will keep him out of Spain’s World Cup qualifiers against Türkiye and Georgia.
Garcia has seen Yamal struggling in recent weeks and admits it is a difficult problem to solve.
“Everyone says that a groin injury is complicated. I have seen it first-hand. You have to be very careful with it. There is no magic cure,” he told RAC1.
“You have to be careful with the workload and increase it little by little. It is true that Lamine has progressed quite well and we hope that he will continue to do so.”
Barcelona will hope that Yamal’s recent treatment and some rest during the international break will help the teenager take a step forward in his fitness. He is expected to return to action, along with García, in Barça’s next match against Athletic Club.
