They did a tremendous job addressing specific needs in the draft, most notably trading up to get Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu in the first round and Illinois running back Gabe Jacas in the second round. They also got the most complete tight end prospect in the entire draft with the No. 95 overall pick, Notre Dame’s Eli Raridon.

However, the team still has work to do when it comes to overall depth at multiple positions, including linebacker, edge rusher, offensive line, defensive line and safety. They could also continue to search for another wide receiver, but the expectation is that they will accept a trade for Philadelphia Eagles star receiver AJ Brown starting June 1.
That being said, undrafted rookies will have a chance to get on the field and compete for a spot. Efton Chism III, Elijah Ponder and even Lan Larison, before the injury, were undrafted free agents who impressed last season.
