Donald Trump has reportedly chosen a name for the new ballroom that will replace the East Wing of the White House, and it’s a true measure of his humility.
Katherine Faulders, managing editor of ABC in Washington, posted on social media Friday that “Trump will likely name the new $300 million ballroom after him,” citing senior administration officials as his source.
““Officials are already referring to it as “President Donald J. Trump’s Ballroom” and that name will likely stick,” he added.
Trump’s ballroom project has been criticized for starting construction during a government shutdown and for failing to submit plans to the agency that oversees the construction of federal buildings.

HuffPost reached out to the White House to confirm the name of the ballroom, but no one immediately responded.
Considering that in 2019, Trump criticized George Washington for not naming Mount Vernon after him, many people didn’t seem surprised that he chose to make the ballroom a personal tribute.
