Kelly Oubre Jr. is someone who will take on the majority of the responsibility. He’s averaging 14.2 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 49.5% from the floor and a career-high 36.9% from deep while providing elite defense as well.

It’s Oubre’s strong play on both ends of the floor that earns him the vote of confidence from fellow star Tyrese Maxey.
“We’ve seen it,” Maxey said after Oubre had 19 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday. “We’ve seen it last year. We’ve seen it the year before. We’ve seen it earlier this year. He did a really good job early in the season, playing that role, scoring, rebounding, defending. Tonight he had 10 rebounds, which is a big moment. We’re going to need him.”
Oubre is a guy who prides himself on being a versatile player and contributing to winning. This is no different. While things may be a little more pronounced with George out right now due to suspension, Oubre is a player who can do a multitude of things on the court.
“Especially for that role, and I have confidence in him, because Kelly is a guy who is not afraid of the moment,” Maxey added. “He’s not afraid to make a big shot, make a big play, make a big stop, and we’re going to need that from him.”
