UEFA Women’s Champions League debutants Manchester United eliminated Atlético Madrid to face FC Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals. The WSL team won last week’s first leg 3-0 in Madrid before two first-half goals saw them comfortably progress to the quarter-finals tonight.

Manchester United’s opponent in the quarterfinals will be Bayern Munich, who finished the league stage in fourth place. José Barcala’s team beat English Arsenal 3-2 in the league phase matchday. Meanwhile, Manchester United suffered a 5-2 defeat at Wolfsburg on matchday four.
Wolfsburg will face OL Lyonnes in the quarter-finals after beating Juventus on Thursday. The winners of the tie will face either Arsenal or Chelsea in the semi-final. There will also be an F-League clash as Barcelona and Real Madrid battle for the right to face either Bayern or Manchester United.
This season’s final will be played in Oslo, at the Ullevaal Stadion, on May 23.
