Uli Hoeneß, member of the supervisory board of Bayern Munich and honorary president, praised the work of his nephew Sebastian Hoeneß as coach of VfB Stuttgart.
“I really take my hat off to him. What he has achieved at his club is extraordinary,” said Uli Hoeneß in an interview with DAZN.

“Firstly, he took over the team during a relegation battle and secondly, in recent years, his best players have been repeatedly sold. And yet he recovers, moves on and always comes back.
“Honestly: aside from our coach, Sebastian has my highest respect.”
The Bayern coach added that he believes his nephew would be a candidate to become Bayern coach should Vincent Kompany leave the position.
“He is at least an option. But as far as I’m concerned, Kompany can stay here for another five or ten years,” he said.
