The Seahawks had a strong USC presence on their team. Seattle’s roster included four Trojans: quarterback Sam Darnold, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Brandon Pili. Additionally, wide receiver/running back Velus Jones Jr. spent four years at USC before finishing his college football career at Tennessee, and the team’s strength and conditioning staff often worked with the Trojans.

After the victory, several members of the champions discussed what it meant to win a Super Bowl with their fellow Trojans.
“We are very united,” Nwosu said. “It’s SC. You know we have a mantra, it’s called Fight On. And no matter what happens, we’ll keep fighting no matter what.”
“Shout out to all my SC brothers and sisters here on this team. We were able to take home a championship.”
“The journey is what makes this moment so special,” Williams added. “A lot of those Trojans guys… I played with those guys at USC, I played with Sam on the Jets. It just means a lot to me to see it all come together.”

For all four USC players, this was the first title of their careers. Being able to create such an incredible memory with other Trojans made it even more special for them.
