The Golden State Warriors have a clear incentive to make a move in the buyout market this season.

The Dubs need all the help they can get moving forward, which should motivate them to identify an asset that is a good fit for their system.
ClutchPoints’ Jedd Padaguan thinks pairing Stephen Curry with a 6-foot-8 former G-League MVP and two-time NBA champion is a move that makes sense for Golden State.
“The current procurement market does not inspire much confidence,” Padaguan said. “Among those already fired, someone like Chris Boucher makes the most sense. Boucher is also a former Warriors player, so that could count for something.”
The Warriors are unlikely to remember much about Boucher’s time with the franchise in the late 2010s. The Oregon product only appeared in one game with Golden State in 2017-18, but began his NBA career with a championship thanks to the organization’s full roster.

Boucher spent the next stage of his NBA journey with the Toronto Raptors and transformed himself into a legitimate big league player. The 33-year-old’s tantalizing two-way contributions helped him earn a contract with the contending Boston Celtics last offseason.
Unfortunately, Boucher did not last a season in Boston, as the Celtics traded him to the Utah Jazz on February 5. With the Jazz recently waived, the Warriors will have a chance to reunite with the veteran forward before the postseason if their interest is high enough.
