Outside of five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington, five-star running back KJ Edwards is the “crown jewel” of the program and has more than enough skill to play a major role within next season’s offense, possessing elite speed, vision and versatility as a pass catcher to become an instant impact weapon for starting quarterback Marcel Reed.

Of the 26 ranked recruits who signed with the Aggies, six of those signees, including Edwards, Carthage HS teammate and four-star linebacker DaQuives Beck, five-star edge Tristian Givens, four-star tight end Caleb Tafua, three-star offensive tackle Avery Morcho and four-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright, spoke Wednesday after signing with Texas A&M.
Collectively, the six prospects delivered the same message, praising the A&M staff’s focus on family and development, especially Avery Morcho, whose size and strength provide a great mold for offensive line coach Adam Cushing and S&C coach Tommy Moffitt, who have a chance to turn the three-star prospect into a future SEC starter.
Here’s KBTX’s Tyler Shaw’s full interview with all six players.
