NewBridge Asset Management, an investment management firm, recently released its Q4 2025 charter for “NewBridge Large Cap Growth Capital Strategy.” A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. Stock markets continued their bullish momentum in the fourth quarter, buoyed by resilient economic growth and strong corporate returns. In the fourth quarter, large-cap growth outperformed the growth strategy, while in the third quarter, small-cap and value stocks outperformed the growth strategy. NewBridge’s large-cap growth strategy generated positive performance in the quarter, but lagged the benchmark, the Russell 1000® Growth Index. Most companies in the portfolio beat quarterly expectations, but some suffered declines. The biggest challenge was the contrasting returns between Uber Technologies, Inc., owned in significant quantities, and Tesla, Inc., which was not owned by the portfolio. Overall, the market environment was favorable for the portfolio in the fourth quarter. The firm continues to rely on its industry-leading companies, which are prepared to deliver attractive financial results despite potential market volatility.
