The Ringer’s Todd McShay recently released the latest mock draft of the 2026 NFL cycle, which has the team going in an offensive direction with a pick we’ve never seen before in a Vikings mock draft. McShat suggests the Vikings need to add a pass catcher and is giving them Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston.

McShay explains Boston’s pick, writing: “The Vikings had real trouble catching the ball last season, and the situation hasn’t exactly improved. With Jalen Nailor now in Las Vegas, they’re currently planning on giving Tai Felton and his three rookie receivers a starting role. That’s a problem. This pick may seem a little rich for Boston, but based on conversations I had with a couple of teams over the weekend, the gap between him, KC Concepcion and Omar Cooper Jr. isn’t nearly as wide for some teams as the draft community may think. “It really comes down to stylistic preferences, and for Minnesota, the need is clear: a big, physical outside receiver to complement Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.”
Boston could create a unique situation for the Vikings unless they trade Jordan Addison. They don’t seem interested in that, so this is definitely a one-time mock draft pick for a team with some glaring holes.
