While celebrating on the field last Sunday after winning a close game against the rival Los Angeles Rams, Darnold was joined on the field by his biggest supporter: his fiancée.

“You did that,” she told him after the game as he gave her an NFC champion.

Who is Darnold’s partner?
Her name is Katie Hoofnagle. Unlike other athletes who date pop stars or popular influencers, Hoofnagle is a marketing specialist who worked in North Carolina around the same time Darnold was with the Carolina Panthers.
What was seen as the lowest point in Darnold’s professional career could have been the moment his entire life turned upside down after meeting Hoofnagle.
After Carolina, he backed up Brock Purdy on the San Francisco 49ers and reached the Super Bowl as a backup. He then revived his career as a starter in Minnesota, going 14-3 with the Vikings before landing in Seattle last offseason, where he will be their franchise QB for the foreseeable future.

Hoofnagle, a native of the Bay Area and San Francisco, will return to her hometown to see if her future husband can win the biggest game of her life next Sunday.
Darnold proposed last summer in California, where they are both from. She’ll be watching from the stands, hoping her engagement rings aren’t the only jewelry she’ll wear on her wedding day.
